Danish Designers of Yesterday, Today and of Tomorrow

Walking Tour with a private guide (3 hours)

Description:

If you wish to explore Danish Design, which was developed in mid-20th century, this is the tour for you. For years Danish designers had lived in the shadows of modern masters like Arne Jacobsen and Verner Panton. Today this has radically changed, and the design scene is again flourishing.

Design plays a big role in Danish culture and in Copenhagen and we will visit The Danish Design Museum (closed on Mondays) and explore the danish Design Tradition for craftsmanship. We will also visit the showrooms/stores and show you examples of the Danish Design tradition. Our tour will take you through green, urban cityscapes and the beautiful neighborhood of the historic parts of town. Also, we promise that beside a great design- and shopping experience we will tell you all we know about Copenhagen’s trendy spots.
